As owner of a thriving private yoga practice based in New York, Amber works with clients ranging from opera singers to corporate executives. She is a certified vinyasa yoga instructor and a Yoga Alliance-registered teacher. Amber is currently on faculty at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York, where she is a professor of yoga. She also teaches in the Corporate Division at Sonic Yoga, where she received her certification under the guidance of Jonathan Fields and Lauren Hanna. In addition to being the resident yoga instructor at Broadway Dance Center, she is also a regular guest teacher at The Chopra Center and Club H Fitness. Amber believes that yoga is for everyone, and has worked extensively to integrate its practices within the daily life of her community. One of her special gifts as an instructor is introducing yoga to first-time practitioners. She taught the first ever 8-week Yoga for Absolute Beginners Workshop at Broadway Dance and teaches the Yoga 101 Workshop at Sonic Yoga. Recently, she started a free community beginners yoga workshop, and also volunteered her services for the Dress for Success 6th Annual Diversity Career Fair. by David Freeland
